Take A Stand I had a good Bible Study this morning. I am currently studying the end times and how close we are getting to it! But this morning was a little bit different. I am reading the book of Daniel and came to Daniel Chapter 3. My defintion of Taking a Stand no matter the situation. King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of Gold. He told all his leaders that all the people everytime they hear all kinds of music that they need to bow down and worship the golden image he created. The king warned the people if they did not bow down and worship the image of gold they would be thrown into the burning fiery furnace. There were 3 men: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that would not bow down. The king stated he was going to throw them in the fiery furnace and the king asked them who would deliver them . Daniel ch 3 vs 17-18. These 2 verses are so powerful. The 3 men said the God they serve will deliver them . in verse 18 they said but if not we will still not bow down and serve their gods or worship any golden image. Thrown into the burning fiery furnace. The king was upset and told his leaders to turn the furnace up 7 times hotter than usual. They threw the 3 men into the furnace. Then the king said to his counsellors "didnt we throw 3 men in to the fire" " Well then how come I see 4, and one of them looks like the Son of God" The 3 men were not harmed by the fire and their faith in God was strong. They took a stand and God saved them from the fiery furnace. We need to take a stand for Christ, no matter what goes on! The bible says Faith comes by hearing. So we need to be in God's word and build our faith! Jesus comforts his disciples! Click here
